Earlsdon Park - Coventry

Earlsdon Park is a new office block development set in the heart of the city of Coventry. Consisting of 9 floors, the QCA building will achieve a BREEAM excellent rating, one of the first buildings to do so outside London. The office space is built around a glass roofed atrium, allowing natural light and ventilation to flood in.

Each floor is served by ground source water-to-water heat pumps operating off a closed loop bore hole system which utilises bores drilled to 200m. To make up the rest of the cooling load a small dry air cooler is used to meet peak demands during high ambient days.

There are three Aermec ground source heat pumps, rated at 225kw each, which produce chilled water at 14 deg C onto chilled beams and 55 deg C hot water to the trench heating system. The heat pumps have been configured to operate in both heating or cooling mode at the same time, allowing flexibility of zoning of the floor plan.
